My work is grounded in supporting you to:

Many of the people who come into this space feel like they have tried everything.
They understand their patterns.
They’ve done therapy.
They’ve done the mindset work.
And yet, something still isn’t shifting.
Because what they are carrying is not just cognitive.
It is held in the body.
And often, it is inherited.
This is where this work becomes essential.
My approach integrates:
• Somatic therapy - working directly with the nervous system
• Attachment work - restoring safety in connection and relationships
• Parts work - meeting and integrating the different parts of self
• Rage work - safely accessing and moving anger held in the body
• Matrilineal repair - addressing inherited relational and emotional patterns

About Me
I’m Briony, somatic psychotherapist and founder of The Somatherapy Collective.
My work is grounded in both lived experience and over 20 years in therapeutic practice, alongside ongoing study in psychotherapy. I support people in healing trauma, restoring their nervous systems, and reconnecting with their bodies through somatic, attachment, parts, and rage work, alongside matrilineal repair.
This work is deeply personal to me. I understand firsthand the impact of trauma, the mother wound, and the experience of carrying more than you can process alone. Through my own journey of healing ancestral patterns, navigating relational wounds, and reclaiming my body, I’ve come to know that true change happens when we move beyond managing symptoms and begin working with what is held underneath.
I work with those who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or like they are holding more than they can carry - supporting them to return to flow, connection, and a deeper sense of power, purpose, and pleasure.
